Online groups lend themselves to various research possibilities. Below are several possibilities for research on YogaGlo.

Future YogaGlo research possibilities...

Since some YogaGlo instructors respond to user comments, it would be interesting to look at the difference in user posted participation on videos where instructors respond as compared to videos where instructors do not respond. What difference, if any, does an active instructor audience make?

Does the gender of the user make a difference in the amount and type of posted responses? Does the gender of the YogaGlo instructor make a difference in the amount and type of posted responses from users?

Since YogaGlo is linked to both Twitter and Facebook, it might be interesting to research the connections between the three sites.  For example, one research project might look at the types of comments made on Twitter regarding YogaGlo and the level of participation overlap between YogaGlo users who are also Twitter users.

Because user comments are prevalent on YogaGlo, it would be useful to analyze the various comments. A preliminary examination of the types of comments posted include emotional comments, questions about yoga, questions about YogaGlo, praise for the yoga class, praise for the individual instructor, and criticism.
